The NDIS can assist participants to live independently. Participants and their families can discuss their home and living goals as part of their planning conversation. A participant's plan will include the supports the NDIS will fund as well as the supports the participant will need to access through the housing system. There are different types of home and living supports that the NDIS can fund. Click here for more information.
One of the supports that may be funded for some NDIS participants is Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). SDA refers to accommodation for people who require specialist housing solutions, including to assist with the delivery of supports that cater for their extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. Funding is only provided to NDIS participants who meet specific eligibility criteria.
inhousing is a NDIS registered provider of Specialist Disability Accommodation.
We also provide accessible & inclusive housing for NDIS participants who don’t require very high levels of personal support. These NDIS participants will often not be eligible for NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation and just looking for accessible affordable accommodation in community.
Tenants renting dwellings from inhousing, have separate arrangements for their personal support needs and can choose any provider who meets their needs.
