3 New SDA Homes Coming Soon in Mitchell Park - Help Shape Your Future Home
We’re excited to announce a new inclusive housing development coming soon to Mitchell Park. This thoughtfully planned intentional community will include three Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes for people with High Physical Support funding, alongside two additional accessible homes that will be rented to non-SDA eligible tenants.
Our goal is to create a vibrant, welcoming neighbourhood where people of all abilities live side-by-side in a supportive, community-focused environment. This includes individuals with disability who live together with their families.
About the SDA homes:
The three SDA homes are designed for High Physical Support and will combine accessible design, inclusive assistive technology, and private and communal spaces to promote independent living and connection.
We’re currently inviting expressions of interest from eligible NDIS participants who would like to be involved early in the process to help shape their future home.
As part of this opportunity, future SDA tenants can help guide decisions around:
- Colours and materials
- Home automation and inclusive assistive technology
- Shared outdoor areas
Planned features include:
- Accessible bathrooms with rails
- Wide doorways and pathways
- Undercover carpark access
- Secure front and back yards
- Air-conditioning and heating
- Raised garden beds
- Spacious decks and outdoor entertaining areas
- Passive solar design for energy efficiency
- Multiple bedrooms providing the option for support or family to live with the SDA participant.

- Close to Flinders University, Westfield Marion, and Flinders Medical Centre.
- Easy access to public transport via Tonsley Train Station.
- Surrounded by green spaces like Tonsley Reserve, Village Green Tonsley, and Warriparringa Wetlands.

We’re seeking NDIS participants with High Physical Support SDA funding who want to live in a supportive and inclusive neighbourhood - and who are interested in helping shape their home during the design phase.
